Fairfax Futures is a nonprofit organization that engages the public and private sectors to raise awareness and increase support for early childhood education in Fairfax County, including the professional development of county-permitted and state-licensed early childhood educators. Fairfax Futures is committed to ensuring that all children in the county have a solid foundation for entering kindergarten ready for a lifetime of success, achievement, and happiness. The organization invests in school readiness strategies by collaborating with community partners, businesses, parents, and early childhood educators to ensure every child’s success. Fairfax Futures hosts an Annual School Readiness Symposium that attracts 250-300 educators to learn about specific topics as well as other professional learning opportunities.
